Dongfeng Motor Company Limited (DFL), founded on June 9th, 2003, is an auto joint venture with a registered capital of RMB 16.7 billion built by Dongfeng Motor Corporation (50% shares) and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (50% shares), with Yanfeng ZHU and Makoto Uchida being the Chairman of Board and the President respectively. DFL is headquartered in Wuhan. Seven business units are under DFL: Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company, Dongfeng Venucia Vehicle Company, Dongfeng Infiniti Motor Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Automobile Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Nissan Auto Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group Co., Ltd. and Equipment Company of Dongfeng Motor Company Limited Its main production bases are distributed in Hubei, Guangdong, Henan, Liaoning, Jiangsu, etc. Its overall sales volume in 2017 was up to 1.52 million vehicles, with the year-on-year growth of 12%. DFL is China’s first auto joint venture with a full range of passenger vehicles and light commercial vehicles, as well as Nissan’s only overseas cooperation project with a full range of products.
