Trakya Cam Sanayii A.?.? is the flagship of the business, active in four main fields: basic glass (flat glass, patterned glass, laminated glass, and coated glass); automotive glass and glass for other vehicles, energy glass, and consumer durables. ?i?ecam Flat Glass was the first in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East, and North Africa to use modern float technology in its production at the plant commissioned in 1981; since that date, its numerous innovations have led the development of flat glass industry both in Turkey and the region. ?i?ecam Flat Glasss ignificantly increased the quality and capacity of its flat glass production in the 1980s and entered global markets through its exports; during the second half of the 2000s, it took its production abroad as part of its vision of regional leadership and its strategy of multi-focus production, commissioning Trakya Glass Bulgaria EAD in Bulgaria in 2006. In a strategic move, ?i?ecam Flat Glass decided to develop its flat glass production in Egypt and Russia jointly with Saint-Gobain, one of the biggest players in the world in the industry; as a result, the Otocam Plant in Bulgaria and the laminated and coated glass plants were commissioned in 2010 and 2013, respectively.
