In 1990, GTÜ was granted the approval to conduct periodic technical inspections (PTI) with an integrated exhaust emission test on vehicles. Since then, vehicle owners and garages have been able to choose an alternative to TÜV and DEKRA to have their vehicles officially inspected. Today, more than 2,500 freelance and full-time certified vehicle inspectors serve with their qualified employees in over 18,000 test stations within garages, car dealerships and privately owned test centres of our partners.
