Facade RIC ComponentsRIC 20 Years RIC started its activities in the city of São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo, in October 1993, with the objective of producing intake and exhaust valves for internal combustion engines directed to the aftermarket. Over the years it has been growing and expanding its activities, acquiring new equipment, and most important, developing its own technology of productive process. In June 2004, it was a pioneer in the production of valves with the Nitretation and Oxidation (Oxinitrocarbonylation) thermal treatments in Brazil for the aftermarket. In October 2005 it was approved by ISO 9001: 2000. The ISO Standards ensure that the company is able to provide quality products worldwide. In November 2005, the construction of its own headquarters was completed in the city of São José dos Campos, state of São Paulo. The RIC started from this date the execution of planning carried out throughout 2005 and 2006 for training of employees focused on the productive process, renovation of the industrial park with acquisition of CNC machines, automation, design and development of electronic tools and devices and preparation production facilities. In 2008 RIC received approval from Volkswagen do Brasil to supply to the parts and accessories division (P & A). In 2008 and 2009 the RIC continued to expand the valve industry with vigorous launch of new products. In the first half of 2009 RIC completed the project for the acquisition of machinery and equipment for the production of heads (Macharia, Foundry, Deburring Machining, Assembly and Inspection Tests). In March 2010 the RIC announced the launch of the Volkswagen 1600 Airheads (modern) and the commercialization of Bronze and Cast Iron Guides. In November 2011 the RIC was recertified and evolved to ISO 9001: 2008. In the year 2012 the RIC started the technical studies for the launch of another product: the cylinder liners. Once the planning and decided for the development of this new product, the company began the works of expansion of its facilities. Two years after much research and planning, the new 1,000-square-meter industrial park was inaugurated and the cylinder liners manufacturing process completed. We also emphasize that all investments made by RIC have always been with its own resources and the success and robustness of this company is defined in three words that represent the spirit of our employees: training, competence and commitment.
