Kathrein’s success story extends over almost an entire century of technology history. It all began in the small workshop of company founder and engineer Anton Kathrein in 1919. Under the leadership of his son Prof. Dr. Anton Kathrein, the company has grown into an internationally active enterprise. Since his father’s death in 2012, Anton Kathrein has been at the helm of an experienced management team, leading the company into the future. Kathrein’s success is based on a definite ability to sense technological opportunities and business potential. Entrepreneurial foresight, smart and timely decisions, creative agility and daring perseverance are the main pillars of the company history. They have facilitated technological innovation at the company since the start and transformed the then one-man operation one of the leading international specialists. Kathrein, as a family-owned business, has stood for comprehensive customer care and responsibility towards employees, society and the environment for three generations. We have sales affiliates and partners on all continents. The Kathrein Group has a staff of around 7,600 (as of June 2017). The company generated a consolidated turnover of € 794m in 2016 (preliminary).
