Founded in 1964, Autometal began its activities producing and marketing components and accessories for the national automobile industry, installed in an area of ??6,000m² with 800m² of built area and a staff of 80 employees. Today, after four decades, Autometal - Diadema (Matriz) has a built area of ??25,177.35m², in a land of 29,516m², with a staff of approximately 1200 employees. This rise reflects the honesty, competence, enthusiasm and dedication of its Directors, together with the entire team, as well as the trust and collaboration of its Clients and Suppliers. The company is formed by four Business Units, for the production of parts whose characteristics follow its internal designation: Metallurgy, Extrusion, Injection, Autoliner and a Tooling Unit, directed to developments, design and construction. Each of the Units generates its own business and is advised by the Corporate Departments of Quality Engineering, Plant Engineering and Maintenance, Economic and Financial, Transportation, CPD and HR. In the Metallurgical Business Unit, the processes of Medium and Light Stamping, Profiles, Anodized Surface Finish, Liquid Paint and Electrostatic Powder are allocated. Extrusion, Co-Extrusion and Over-Injection processes are allocated to the Extrusion Business Unit. In the Injection Business Unit are allocated the processes of Injection, Silk-Screen, Lines of Assembly and Painting of Plastics. Autometal also participates in the international purchasing process, aware of the adversities of this process, but confident that, with an adequate relationship and a firm and honest job, , through partnerships, to overcome these challenges more.
