Description
Located in Istanbul Turkey, USO Automotive Co Inc., with its original brand name “USO Exhaust” is an important manufacturer of exhaust systems for automotive and machinery industries since 1972. From its early stages, USO Exhaust has quickly become a major provider for the OEM local industry such as Tofas Fiat, Oyak Renault, Ford Otosan and a major market participant in the after-market sales for a large variety of brands with a vendorship network reaching an annual capacity of approximately two thirds of the overall car production in Turkey.
In a further development stage, USO Automotive has moved to its actual production location with a closed activity area of 8’000 sqm. in Istanbul Dudullu Industrial District in late 1995, has continuously improved its manufacturing standards and technology in order to diversify the product range that covers other machinery industries including agriculture, energy, construction, railway, maritime and defense. This has been a rewarding strategy in bringing renown customers from abroad and driving exports up to 50% of the net sales.
USO Automotive has been awarded many times as an “A class manufacturer” during site inspections by various organisations for its qualities, safety measures, mission undertaken and devotion in customer satisfaction.
Today, holding the certificates ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 and exporting mainly to almost all Europe and the United States, USO possess an important edge over the competition in manufacturing and processing DKP, ALM coated, carbon- and stainless steel pipes between 35 - 127 mm Ø and 1.5 - 2 mm. thick.
Furthermore, the integrated infrastructure lets USO design and create in-house all parts of the exhaust systems including mufflers, front & rear pipes, heat-shields, clamps, brackets and flexible pipes using top-notch equipment for bending, numerically controlled tube end finishing, guillotine-shearing, hydraulic and eccentric pressing, MIG / TIG welding, CNC milling, plasma cutting, punching, painting and drying.
Solidworks, a CAD/CAM tool, is used for designing the components as well as the tools and the fixtures. Solidflow simulation tool is used for analysing the CKD components and products. As part of three-dimensional analysis process of Quality & Control, Wenzel measurement and Johnson master devices are calibrated to a 0.001 mm. deviation tolerance.
